Wedge Desk Prototype | Limited Edition for Carpenters Workshop Gallery

The concept was to create an absolute minimal desk finished in recycled carbon fibre. From the front it is perceived as a super thin structure made of thin sheets. In reality it is formed of acute wedge-shaped panels.  

The desk began by transforming a simple 2-dimensional Sol Lewitt isometric line drawing into a 3-dimensional structure. The perspective has been in effect distorted to achieve what is a functional desk with integrated drawers on the working side.

The honest exposed skins, finished in recycled carbon fibre, are the structure.
